Bentley MK VI James Young

Bentley MK VI James Young

Spectacular 1952 Bentley MK VI in perfect condition, magnificent colour combination.

The car was originally sold to Dr Frank Stabler of Newcastle (famous doctor).

The 1952 MK VI (4560 engine, manual transmission, twin carburettors and twin exhaust) will be bodied by James Young in the (Mc Neil) C10BM design in a version called “Coupe’ Saloon”. 30 MK VIs with the C10BM design will be built. The car was born with some peculiarities: Bentley bumpers instead of the James Young (with license plate holder inserted in the boot), bonnet opening from the passenger compartment, petrol door opening from the passenger compartment, ashtrays on the James Young doors, sun visors with removable plexiglass cover, closed roof (the sunroof was standard), high and modified dashboard.

Completely restored in 2017 of bodywork (brought back to its original color as per initial order), leather, briar roots and chrome. A few months before the purchase in England the engine was also restored.

The car appeared (in cream color) in the film “Paura 3 D” by the Manetti Bros.

The car has the original use and maintenance booklet for both Bentley and James Young; it also has the ASI gold plate approval (certificate of identity).

The car can be viewed by appointment at our showroom.
